Obama set out to displease American mindsets?

Israel, was insisting on inspecting all traffic into Gaza ostensibly to check weapons being smuggled into the Palestinian enclave. The situation in Gaza, the narrow coastal area with 1.5 million people which had been faded from news got undue attention. Apart from the frequent threat of sea raids, there must be focus into the issue of humanitarian situations in the Gaza Strip, which has been under Israeli blockade ever since the Hamas militant group seized power three years ago. Obama administration had pressed for less strenuous restrictions on trade, but ignored by the Israeli regime. There was proof for negligence on the part of U.S too. It was evident from the fact that the U.S Special envoy George J. Mitchell had never been to Gaza despite paying around a dozen trips to Israel and the Palestinian territories.

Iran still may have certain undisclosed grievances for not maintaining complete transparency. It may also have a long felt desire to simultaneously pursue enrichment in a small way taking into account the threat from Israel. U.S and Vienna group should first do their best for the regional CBMs in the Middle East.
The Israel P.M Netanyahu should come down from the pedestal and positively co-operate with Obama and take all initiatives for direct talks with Palestinians to reach a consensus and surprise not only to the Arab nations, but to the world at large. Let him present himself to larger arenas in global issues.
The issues in Middle East have so many intrinsic factors connected with race, religion and inherited revulsions which were carried for generations. Political maneuverings intensified these issues and never wanted to reach a long standing solution. It is not that Obama lacks wisdom or attitude to strive for solutions to any issues, let it be Israel-Palestinian disputes or Iran’s nuclear ambitions resulting sanctions against the nation etc., but he may have to displease the majority American mindset! The American people have to primarily shed all inhibitions on the said issues and give their support to the President without seeing the politics within the nation.
In the NPT Review Summit’s final document had incorporated the agreement to hold a regional conference in 2012 to discuss issues relevant to a Middle East zone free of WMD and their delivery systems will be in the right spirit of building CBMs in the region. Obama had expressed discontent for singling out Israel as desired by Arab world, over talks on weapons-free Asia and had hinted that U.S have to resist on any move to endanger the Israel’s national security. Obama’s comment can be taken as a contemptuous declaration targeting Iran that is clandestinely pursuing nuclear ambitions, though he had openly commented on Iran’s failure to live up to its NPT obligations. It may be a fact that Iran was not specifically called out in the conference document. Probably Iran's safeguards violations and continuation of LEU enrichment, not heeding to the threats of UNSC resolutions were already disparaged in the Final document. It is fine that Iran's IAEA representative Ali Asghar Soltanieh, who attended the Summit, had welcomed the move.
Obama is getting proved as a sly Politician, patiently waited for subsiding the impact of the Gaza Flotilla raid and can now scheme for next course of action to prove that he refurbishes the conventional Pro-Israel stand that will save the lost face to the electorate in mid-term polls.
